Read the passage carefully and answer the questions given below it.

    Elephants live in the forests. At the beginning of the rains they come out of the dense jungles and wander about in the meadows eating the grass. A herd of wild elephants usually consists of thirty to fifty animals. Just as babies hold the hands of their mothers, baby elephants hold the tails of their mothers when they travel. Elephants eat grass, leaves, wild fruits and bamboo shoots. They drink a lot of water. They go to a river or a lake at least twice a day. They love having a bath. One interesting thing about the elephants is that they can't run. They can however walk fast. Their walking speed is nearly thirteen kilometres an hour. Although the elephant cannot jump, it can swim.
