Today we celebrated Guru Parva, the birth of Guru Nanak Dev ji. I went to the Gurrudwara in the morning. I met all my friend and relatives there. Everybody was happy. The 'Granthi' was reciting verses from the holy Guru Granth Saheb. I offered my prayers and took the Prasad. The 'Granthi' blessed me when I bowed before the holy Guru Granth Saheb. For sometime I also sat near the Granthi and recited some of the holy songs of Guru Nanak ji. After it I participated in the langar. Since it was a holiday, I spent the whole day in Gurudwara. I came back at 5 p.m. when the ceremony was over.

This is the festival of sacrifice, love and happiness. We decorate our house with different articles. All of us wear new clothes and and many of friends visit to my house. Out side from the gate of church Santa Claus distribute the gifts and chocolates to the children. In the church we enlighten candles and pray to Jesus Christ for happiness of all the people.

Answer - Satish celebrated Diwali with his parents, grand parents and younger sister Pooja. He put on new clothes, eat sweets and let off fire works. In the evening time, all of them worshipped goddess Laxmi. Then sweets were distributed. Thus all of them enjoyed this festival of lights and happiness.
