Comprehension

Answer these questions.

(B) Read the sentences carefully.

Anil called the conductor, who was busy in booking ticket.
The above sentence can be broken into two sentences as :

(1) Anil called the conductor
(2) The conductor was busy in ticket booking.

The two sentences can be combined into one with the help of a non- defining clause 
(who), as we have done above.

Now join these pairs of sentence using "who" non-defining clause.

     (2) My teacher is very intelligent.

      (2) David was riding a bicycle.

     (2) The beggar already had a lot of coins.

(B) Write a short note on "Anil's journey"

Ans.        Anil's Journey
        Anil had to go from Indore to Harda to see his friend Sumit. As it was five hours journey, he went to the bus stop well in time and got his seat reserved.

         In order to enjoy the Greenery and beauty of nature spread on either side of the road, he preferred a seat rear the window. The bus started at the right time. Anil got absorbed into the side scenery. He reached Harda and was received by Sunil at the bus stop.

Let's do it :

Collect some greeting cards. Read the sentences written in them. Write the expression you like, in your project- book. Use your collection for greeting your friends, parents and relatives on different occasions.
