 (C) Read the sentence given below.

      Now, read its indirect forum- 
        The angel asked if the king was worthy 
         of sitting on that throne. 
      Observe the following changes - 
(1) 'said' has been changed to 'asked' 
(2) The inverted commas have been 
       removed. 
(3) Reporting speech has been joined to 
       reported speech using 'if'. 
(4) The reported question is changed into 
       assertive sentence. 
(5) The question mark is replaced with 'full 
       Stop'.

     Now, change the following sentences into indirect speech.  
(1) The angel said, 'Am I lonely?'
(2)  The teacher said, 'Are we going for a 
        Picnic?'
(3) The guard said, 'Is this not a public     
       place?'
(4) Raja Bhoj said, ' Am I not worthy of 
      Sitting on the throne?'
